These are Bonita which are also called false albacore.

Is it called “bonita” or “bonito?”. Because Bonito means tuna in Japanese and I’m wondering if there is a connection and it’s just being pronounced wrong, or is it a completely different name.
nice job, rescued it from the shark, lol…a lot of the times the sharks/tarpon will give up chasing down their prey..thats why I like to fish for the lazy big guys with cut bait.
great fighting fish!!! pound for pound!! never caught a east fish. caught many on the west coast. may need to try fishing in florida on day

@boxinglife123 Go out about 4 miles and there is a reef we like to fish off of, there is always a bunch of guys there, I also go around the inter costal of Ft. Myers, good sheaps head around there
